How can i use If and or function
 

Hi,
Well i am trying to develop a excel
the following are the data
232=t
323=t
333=t
313=t
233=s
213=s
332=s
312=s
222=u
212=u
223=e
322=e

I process the a large data with various result and final i get the
above result on last cell as 232 or say any above 322 or 223. Now i
want the final result in next cell if the previous cell shows 232 then
the result must be t or say the previous cell show 222 then the result
must be u.
I used this formula

=IF(OR(E2=222,E2=212),"u",IF(OR(E2=223,E2=322),"e" ,IF(OR(E2=312,E2=332,E2=213,E2=233),"s",t )))
=IF(And(E2=222,E2=212),"u",IF(And(E2=223,E2=322)," e",IF(And(E2=312,E2=332,E2=213,E2=233),"s",t )))


but i am getting #Name? that means error in formula

How can i use If and or function
 

First, the

=IF(AND(E2=222,E2=212)...

formula won't work because E2 will NEVER be both 222 and 212.

Second, you need to enclose the last item (t) in quotes: "t"
