Cell incremental increase

Is there anyway to turn this feature off within cells? In other words, I
want to drag the contents of one cell, Fall 06, for example, and keep that
value instead of Excel increasing the number by 1 with each successive cell;
07, 08, etc.

Thanks

One way. Just do a right-click drag down on the fill handle (instead of the
usual left-click drag down), then choose "Copy Cells" from the menu pop up

Hi. To turn it off, hold the Ctrl key as you drag the cell down. :)
