Anchor Doesn't work
For two months I've used Excel 2007 with no problem, but this week I noticed
a bug with the anchor function. When I would anchor a cell and copy down the formula, it would repeat the same number from the first cell, but update the formula. Also, after I copied all the cells and used the =sum() at the bottom of the column, whenever I would delete or change any of the cells within the sum range, the sum would not change. What is going on with Excel? I never had this happen with 2003. |

I still use 2003, but in 2007 is there something similar to
tools-options-calculate select automatic. (I have had this happen in 2007 when calculation is manual) "Preston" wrote: For two months I've used Excel 2007 with no problem, but this week I noticed a bug with the anchor function. I would guess that calculation mode is set to manual.
Try setting to automatic. I did have the calculation set to Manual. I tested that after I saved the
spreadsheet, it worked like it was supposed to. I think this might have been the problem. Thank you.
