Excel paste formatting
One task I have at work is to populate a spreadsheet with information from
two company databases (not Access), one web-based. This requires a great deal of copy/paste function, but the data pasted from the outside sources is not formatted correctly for the spreadsheet. Having to open the clipboard and click "match destination formatting" for each pasted field adds a lot of time to this task. I have not found a way to set the "match destination formatting" function as the default. FYI, I can't just wait until finished pasting and reformat all the fields, because certain lines of data are color highlighted for clarity. Does anyone know if it's possible to change the default paste function in Excel to "match destination formatting"? I can't believe that the developers as MS have not thought of this need. Thanks!
