I presume you mean columns ... and IV is 256!
Excel 2007 has 16K columns and 1M(illion) rows but otherwise you are stuck with 256 columns and 65K rows "Daniel" wrote: I need to have more than 244 rows (ro IV). Does anybody khow if ther is a way to add columns beyond the limit of 244? Thank you for any advice. |

I have Excel 2007 and it only shows the 65K of rows. How can I utilize the
1M rows? "Toppers" wrote: I presume you mean columns ... and IV is 256! Excel 2007 restricts the number of rows to 65K when it's in compatibility
mode. It does this when you open a spreadsheet saved by a previous version. To get out of this mode, save the file in 2007 format (Office buttonSave AsExcel Workbook. Regards, Fred. The most common way of adding more date when you run out of columns is to
transpose your data so that the columns are rows, and vice versa. -- Regards, Fred "Daniel" wrote in message ... I need to have more than 244 rows (ro IV). Does anybody khow if ther is a way to add columns beyond the limit of 244? Thank you for any advice. |

Can you tell me how to do this? I just get the message that there is not
enough space when I try to open my .csv file, so I can't tell how many rows there are. Someone also suggested creating a macro to import separate chunks into a separate worksheet. I'm not sure how to do this either. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, -- Marg R.
