Fixed Decimal
 

In formatting cells, general automatically enters decimal places. I want to
uncheck 'fixed decimal places' but cannot find that in Excel Options. I am
using Excel 2007 and there is no ToolsOptionsEdit. How can I cancel 'fixed
decimal places in Excel 2007? I don't want to enter it as text because I have
to keep going back to make this correction.

Office button, Excel options, Advanced, 2nd checkbox, which says
"Automatically insert a decimal point" (it's been renamed!)
