I would like to alternate footer layout in an Excel document. Is this possible?

If you are printing multiple pages from a single worksheet, the answer is NO,
unfortunately. If you have one printed page per worksheet, you can manually
set up a footer for each sheet, and alternate from one worksheet to the next.
It's quite a bit of trouble, though

You could use VBA code to print your alternate footers.

See Ron de Bruin's site for code.

Adjust to suit.

With such advanced technology today, Excel should already have this function
- or so one would think! I'm hoping Microsoft will develop this function as
it will save me hours of work!
