how do i make a list of consecutive numbers in a column?

I am trying to make an ascending list of gift certificate numbers in a column.

Hi
First number in Cell A1, second number in A2.
Highlight both cells, now drag the little black box in the bottom right
corner of Cell A2 down as far as you like.
