How do I delete some words in autocomplete shortcut menu?
Autocomplete is not functioning as I want (in Excel) because some entries
appear twice. I don't know how I did it, but how do I remove the unwanted entries in the shortcut menu so that it will autocomplete my entries again? |
Autocomplete or "pick from list" is based on what you have entered in
contiguous cells above where you are not entering data. There is no list saved anywhere that you can edit. If words are repeated, there must be something different about them. Perhaps a space in one and not the other? Gord Dibben Excel MVP On Mon, 14 Feb 2005 11:47:06 -0800, wrote: Autocomplete is not functioning as I want (in Excel) because some entries appear twice. Make that "above where you ARE entering data"
