"add trendline" not highlighted
 

I am trying to add a trend line but when I get the droop down box the "Add
Trendline" is not highlighted. This is true whether I use the dropo down on
the chart itself or use the drop down under "chart"

What is the chart type?

I am having the same problem so I'm anxious to know why. I want to add trend

Add Trendline
 

Make sure your chart type is "Line" and not "Stacked Line"
