Seperating buy Tabs

Hello All,
I have some info that is only seperated by commas not in tabs to columns, is
there a way to put it into tabs/columns? I know I can save as tab deleted put
I have no idea how to put it back into tab/columns!!!

Also is there somewhere where I can redownload Excel? It came on my computer
and I did not receive discs for it so I can't reinstalle it if that is the
problem!! AWW

Thanks All!

Select the cells that have the comma-separated data, then use the menu to
choose

Data-Text-to columns

and follow the prompts, choosing Delimited as the data type and comma as the
separator

Hey Duke,
Ok I tried that but it did not work. All the info downlaoded into colimn A,
it looks like this "Txgrl, texas, email address, #" you get the picture! I
highlited column A and did what you said but it did not change anything.

Do I need to do something else or is my Excel program bad?
Thanks again!

I'd be very surprised if your Excel app is bad.

Is there any data to the right of column A, and were you asked if you wanted
to overwrite that data? If you were asked, and if you responded "no," then
nothing happens

If that didn't happen, did you at least get a chance to walk through the
Convert Text to Columns Wizard? Did it suggest to you that it was going to
split the text where it should?
