remove a dash in my column
I added a new row and some of the colums should have a 0.00 balance.
However, instead of the 0.00 I get a - and cannot remove it and replace it with 0.00. How can I get rid of this - (dash) and get my zero's back. |

How about just formatting the cells the way you like:
Select the range format|Cells|Number tab|and change to Number (2 decimal places)??? Irene wrote: I added a new row and some of the colums should have a 0.00 balance. NB: At bottom of panel, you can Format for appearances of Negative Numbers and Colors. -Please reply to group as my email addr is fake! -Regards CC |

You are formatted to Accounting.
Change from Accounting format to just Number format with 2 DP or to Currency format which is 2 DP with a Currency symbol. Gord: I am doing accounting. The dash is only one one or two rows. All
other rows are ok. I don't understand why I got the dash when I was just updating some figures. Irene "Gord Dibben" wrote: You are formatted to Accounting.
