I need a formula that adds up "L" (lates to a class) over E4 to Q.
I am a teacher. I have sucessfully set up a spreadsheet that counts "O" for
present and "x" for absent. However, I am trying to get the spreadsheet to count the "L" for lates across a range of E4 to Q4 and I can't seem to come up with the right formula. How do I do that? Thanks - |

How do you count the "O" and "x" ? For "L" enter =COUNTIF(E4:Q4,"L") Unless there's more you haven't told us.
