Hiding columns without usimg a macro

Is there a way of hiding columns with a single button, without using macros.

If I want to enter data about apples, only columns 2-6 need completing so
7 - 12 can be hidden.
If I want to enter data on oranges then 7 - 12 need to be visible but 2-6
can be hidden.
I was thinking of something I could click to hide, unhide a set number of
columns.

I remember seeing a spreadsheet that appeared to use sub totals along the
columns which appeared to hide & unhide the columns when selected.
Any thoughts.
Thanks
Mick

Maybe you can use Data|Outline (select the columns to hide first)

You'll see outlining symbols at the top that allow you to hide/show columns.

Kind of like data|subtotals does with rows.

Thanks for the guidance, it seems that's what I was looking for, I didn't
know it was there, I'll have a play to see if it works.
