Formula needed for too much inventory

In controlling inventory I have for instance an item that the max quantity
needs to be at 5 days on each Monday of the week. If that item goes above .5
of a day what formula can I use to reflect this information?

Thank you,

You can use conditional formating (the most visual) or If formula in the next
column

Please explain the conditional formating because I really need an example of
a format or formula to understand.

Thank you,

If a cell value must be 5, use the Cond Formating under Format Menu to specify:
if "cell value is" "not equal to" 5 then press format button and select red
color in the Pattern Tab, and press ok.

Everytime the value of the cell isn't 5 the cell will turn red.

Hope this helps
Ig.
