Excel's Fourier Analysis should be a function, so that results upd
Excel's Fourier Analysis (FFT) Add-In is very useful, except that the user
must manually run it each time the input column's data changes in order to see the new output data. Why not make this a function, so that FFT results are updated automatically whenever the input is changed? I'd love to see, for example, "FFT" and "IFFT" (inverse FFT) functions in a future version of Excel. |
Presumably you intended to send this suggestion to Microsoft rather than
to other users who have no power to act on it. This is a peer-to-peer newsgroup. Try http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp instead. Thanks, Jerry. I've now submitted it via that web site.

Bob. I have a Radix-2 Fourier Transform vba function. However, I wrote it
using vba's full 28 digit precision. (Variant arrays). I plan to re-write it using double precision. However, I've been testing different ideas for speed and haven't quite finished it yet. Give me a few weeks to finish it. If you drop me a note with your email address, I'll send you an update when ready. -- Dana DeLouis Win XP & Office 2003 "BobM" wrote in message ... Thanks, Jerry. I want to make the FFT of a signal that's in a clolumn of an excel file. How I can do? Please, answer me... Many thanks in advance for your courtesy. With my best whises and best regards, Sandro |
