empty cells in a vlookup list

I am currently using vlookup functions to pull data out of a list that is
about 10,000 rows long. I have created a template where I can paste the
lookup data array in to this template each time so that my list above can be
populated automatically from the vlookup array. Sometimes the data I will
paste in will be only 8,000 rows long (just an example), so there will be
around 2,000 blank rows still highlighted as the "array" from the vlookup
formulas. If there are blank cells in the lookup array, does this affect
rersults at all? It's impossible for me to check each result, so I just want
to make sure this won't affect anything I am doing.

I assume it does not, but wanted to have all my bases covered before I
submit this data for analysis.

Thanks in advace,

Hi

Provided your Vlookup includes the 4th parameter of False or 0 you
should be OK.
