problems using Excel as a mail merge database in Office XP
There's an article on the Microsoft web site that might help you:
Answer Box: Numbers don't merge right in Word http://office.microsoft.com/en-ca/as...164951033.aspx djcten wrote: I had a very straightforward mail merge program that imported data from an Excel file and produced form invoices in Word. I used to be able to set the date in Excel and import (say) 14 February 2006 now I get 38762 or some thing worse like 12345.6789. Previously I could Round and Format a cell for currency and get an answer like £12.34 which would import to word as £12.34 now it imports as 12.3456. My upgrade was from Office 2000 to Office XP. Can anyone advise how to fix this??? -- Debra Dalgleish Contextures http://www.contextures.com/tiptech.html |
