Is this possible?

I have two ranges. One range (D11:Oll) is composed of all numbers,
while the other range (D16:O16) is composed of both letters and numbers
(1,E,A). I would like to have a function that takes only the 1's and
multiplies them by their corresponding value in the other range, and
then sums them up. I have tried a number of different function types
and have not been able to make it work, however, my knowledge of excel
is limited, I may just be entering them incorrectly. Thank you.
