Validation Tables For Drop Down list on a Separate Worksheet.
I need to create a validation table for a drop down list but I want to
reference a range on a separate worksheet. Is this possible? I cannot seem to get it. |
Hi
to do this you need to give the range on the other sheet a range name (select the data, click in the little box to the left of the formula bar and above column A and type a name - no spaces and press ENTER). now return to you other sheet - select the range where you want the drop down box, choose data / validation - choose list, click in the source line and press the F3 - your range name should be displayed, selected it and press OK and it should work fine. For more details on using data / validation - check out Debra Dalgleish's website at www.contextures.com/tiptech.html Cheers JulieD "azelli1" wrote in message ...
