Hi

Not sure exactly what you are after, but if you type in cell A1
=ROW()
and copy down as far as you wish, you will get 1, 2, 3 etc.

Exactly what I was trying to remember. Thanks.

Just found that the same can be achieved just by putting 1 in cell A1, 2 in
cell A2, selecting both cells and dragging the fill handle.
