Trend analysis calculation
 

I would like to know how to calculate the trend analysis, for 2-3
years, by using the microsoft excel 2000.I have a month wise data of
total sales and production.I want to forecast the sales and the profit.
How should i do it by using excel

If your data looks fairly linear when plotted, then consider using the
FORECAST() function.
