You have 'data' to the right or below where you think Select A1 and press Ctrl+Right Arrow or Arrow down for rows. This is where Excel thinks your data goes to. To correct this, select the whole of the last row/column that Excel 'thinks' it has and then, holding the shift key down, select the last entire row/column that you 'know' you have. another option is that he has comments somewhere on the worksheet,
