adding data containing name X on the cell
Hi, can you help me sort this workbook I created? I have 5 weeks worth of
data with different client names in all the sheets. How can I generate a formula that totals only the result from column Q for the client name (creekside) keep in mind that the positioning of the client will be in a different place in the next sheets, examlpe: this is a copy of sheet1 (K32) (M32) (N32) (O32) (P32) (Q32) Creekside 263,643 6 $5.67 $7.08 $12.75 this is sheet2 (K57) (M57) (N57) (O57) (P57) (Q57) Creekside 263,764 12 $1.67 $9.08 $158.98 I need to add all the activity in column Q but how do I reference the name Creekside. I hope I could explain it. thanks for your help -- Louie |

It's hard to understand your exact problem, but it sounds like it may be
solvable with SUMIF "Louie" wrote: Hi, can you help me sort this workbook I created? I have 5 weeks worth of data with different client names in all the sheets. thanks for your reply...I kind of understand SUMIF but don't really know how
to compose the right formula. here is my logic; the numbers I need to sum are always in column Q in all the sheets since they are built identicaly, however the cell or client name (creekside) is repeated on all the 5 sheets but...it's position is different from sheet to sheet. sheet1....(creekside) is on K32 and on K45 and the result is on Q32 and K45 sheet2....(Creekside) is on K67 - k76 and K89 and the resuls are on Q67 - Q76 and Q89. How do I create a formula that finds everything for the cell (creekside) in all the sheets and it's corresponding results on that are always in column Q. thanks again for your help -- Louie "Eddie O" wrote: It's hard to understand your exact problem, but it sounds like it may be solvable with SUMIF "Louie" wrote: Hi, can you help me sort this workbook I created?
