Look up question

Hi,

Help please. I imagine this is simple but I must be a bit dim today.

I need to find the value of the xth cell in an array A1:E1, where x is
determined by the position of the first blank cell in the array A2:E2.

e.g. if A1 to E1 contains values 1;2;3;4;5, and A2 to E2 contains
10;20;30;blank;blank, the answer should be 4.

Thanks,
Graham.

If the values in A1:E1 really are the sequential numbers 1;2;3;4;5

Array entered using the key combination of CTRL,SHIFT,ENTER (not just
ENTER):

=MATCH(TRUE,A2:E2="",0)

If the values in A1:E1 are NOT the sequential numbers 1;2;3;4;5

Also array entered:

=INDEX(A1:E1,MATCH(TRUE,A2:E2="",0))
