Need to pull a selected segment of numbers/text from a large strin
 

I have a 63 character long string that I need to pull several segemented
values from. i.e. I need the last 6 characters to go one cel, then characters
7-10 from the right to go into another cel, 11-18 to go into the next cel,
etc.
Is there a way to do this?

Yes, use the RIGHT, LEFT and MID functions.

=RIGHT(A1,6)

This will pull the last 6 characters from the string located in cell A1.

=MID(A1,7,4)

This will pull 4 characters out of the string in A1, starting with the 7th
character (7-10).
