toe wrap columns
In Excel, is there a way to "toe wrap" columns? I want to create a list of
items, limit the doc to 25 rows and have it wrap from column to column and sort the items alphabetically. |
There's nothing built in that will do what you describe. David McRitchie
has some information on snaking columns that may help you: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/snakecol.htm Maui Gal wrote: In Excel, is there a way to "toe wrap" columns? You could have the sortable data on one worksheet and the same data on
another for display purposes. Let us say you have values on Sheet 1 from cell A1 to cell A58. In cell A1 on Sheet 2 enter =A1 and copy down to A25. In cell B1 enter =A26 and copy down to B25. In cell C1 on sheet 2 enter =A51 and copy down as far as needed. "Maui Gal" wrote: In Excel, is there a way to "toe wrap" columns? How about copying your list into MSWord. You can use Word's built in
Format|columns (may not be 25 per), but I find it easier when the list is plain old text--no formulas. Maui Gal wrote: In Excel, is there a way to "toe wrap" columns?
