IF formula question

Ok, I should be able to do this and just can't get it to work.

Here's the deal, I need a formula to do this:

If cell B11 is < 6500 then return 0
If cell B11 is 6500 and <8000 return 150
If cell B11 is 8000 and < 10000 return 300
If cell B11 is 10000 return 500

Here's what I've got and it isn't working, any help would be appreciated:

(Sarah feeling stupid this morning) - I know it is something simple I am
missing here. Thanks for that help!!!!

=IF(B11<6500,0,0)=IF(6501< B11<8000,150, 0)=IF(8001<B11<10000,
300,0)=IF(B1110001, 500,0)

IF formula question

Use the following syntax:

=IF(B1<6500,0,IF(AND(B116500,B11<8000),150....

Make sure your parentheses are correct.

And don't forget equal signs for the event X=6500 etc.

=IF(B1<=6500,0,IF(AND(B116500,B11<=8000),150....

Thank you Dave.

Now I did that. and it gives me #value.

I checked ()'s and didn't see anything. Am I doing something else wrong?

=IF(B11<6500,0),IF(AND(B116500,B11<8000),150),IF( AND(B118001,B11<10000),300),IF(AND(B1110000),500 )

IF formula question

This may do what you are asking: Note, there were some holes, so I
arbitrarily changed < to <= or to = in certain places (otherwise it
returned false, for say 8000.)

=IF(B11<=6500,0,IF(AND(B116500,B11<=8000),150,IF( AND(B11=8001,B11<=10000),300,IF(B1110000,500))))

IF formula question

But if you've got a first condition of IF(B11<=6500,... (assuming that the
B1 was a misprint for B11), then you don't need the test for B116500 in the
second IF statement.

TRY...
=IF(B11=10000,500,IF(B11=8000,300,IF(B11=6500,1 50,0)))
I PLACE SOME ADJUSTMENTS BASED ON THE MID OF " <"...
U CAN REMOVE "=" IF IT WILL FIT YOU...
