conditional formula
You can't do this directly with a standard function. However, this site
shows how you can do so with User-defined functions: http://www.cpearson.com/excel/colors.htm About half-way down the page is a section on: "Summing the value of cells based on a specific colour" which is relevant to your request. Hope this helps. Pete Rose Davis wrote: Hello, I need to sum cells based on color coding. I am unable to determine how to do this in the conditional format. Thanks for your help Rose |

Dear Rose...Are u asking to know "HOw to" conditionally format a cell with
pre-selected colors? Or you want to sum cells per color coding thru conditional formulation?. "Pete_UK" wrote: You can't do this directly with a standard function.
