How can I set the column that excel returns to when I hit Enter?
When I am done entering info on one line and hit Enter/Return sometimes it
goes to the next row in column A and sometimes it goes to another cell in the next row. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. Is there a way to set it return where you want? |

Tools - Options - Edit tab
You can choose "Move Selection after enter is pressed" and choose which direction. If you want to move differently depending on what cell you are in, you'll have to get in to VBA to capture the Enter keypress and move the cursor appropriately. Go to "Tools" - "Options" - Pick the "Edit" tab, Check the box by "Move
selection after Enter" and pick your direction. -- Alan L "Camille" wrote: When I am done entering info on one line and hit Enter/Return sometimes it goes to the next row in column A and sometimes it goes to another cell in the next row.
