How do I get labels to repeat in a pivot table?
I am working with a table where I need to sort and subtotal by employee and
department. I'm trying to figure out a way to either use subtotal or a pivot table to do this. With the pivot table, I get the data sorted correctly but the name doesn't carry to each line. If I subtotal, I get the sort by field on the total line but not the department name. Any ideas? |

The row headings show once in a Pivot Table, and there's no setting you
can change, to force them to repeat. To create a table with a heading on each row, you could copy the pivot table, paste it as values in another location, and fill in the blanks, using the technique shown he http://www.contextures.com/xlDataEntry02.html snmcpa wrote: I am working with a table where I need to sort and subtotal by employee and department.
