Relinking Pivot Tables to Main Table
I have a Pivot Table in Sheet 1 named "pvtMain". In the other sheets
within the spreadsheet I have several pivot tables which link to "pvtMain". Thus all I need to do is refresh the data in "pvtMain" and all of the other pivots refresh automatically. The problem I'm having is that if I change the source data that "pvtMain" links to, the dependent pivot tables still access the original source and not the new source. How do I get the dependent pivot tables to automatically link to the new data that "pvtMain" is now sourcing without going to each individual pivot table and using the wizard to relink each table? On a side note is there any code that allows me to easily change the source data that "pvtMain" is linking to? Any help is much appreciated. ccfcrup |

Ron Coderre has a pivot table add-in that lets you view and edit the
connection string and command text, so you can change the source: http://www.contextures.com/xlPivotPlay01.html ccfcrup wrote: I have a Pivot Table in Sheet 1 named "pvtMain".
