allan, if you want the date to change put this in a cell, =TODAY()
if you don't want the date to change use a line of code like this maybe in a workbook open event Sheets("Sheet1").Range("A1") = Date -- Paul B Always backup your data before trying something new Please post any response to the newsgroups so others can benefit from it Feedback on answers is always appreciated!
