Excel should sort by month
It would be great if Excel could sort by month name, such as Jan, Feb, Mar,

Create a helper column with this formula

Excel should sort by month
If your months (Jan, Feb...) are in A, use helper column with

Excel should sort by month
While you're waiting for the developers to get around to it, try this.
Assume dates in column A In B1 enter =MONTH(A1) Double-click on the fill handle of B1 to copy down.
