Problem with Goal Seek
For some reason, this feature has become unreliable recently (in the
last 3 to 4 days). When I use it I often get very large negative numbers. I went back to old spreadsheets that I know worked at one time and they don't work any more either. My associate thinks it's because the value I'm trying to find is used within a rounding function. While this may be a factor, I know I've used it successfully in the past with the same equation. Any ideas out there? I know there was an automatic MS update push in the last week but I haven't been able to find out what was in it (wouldn't you think there will be an automatically maintained log of updates? is there?). Thanks. |
Problem with Goal Seek
I moved the round function to a lower level equation and the problem
disappeared. I'm not sure why the problem developed but at least now I know how to avoid it. shail wrote: Hi, It is working fine with my spreadsheet. I am using Excel XP.
