How do I sort with empty rows between none empty rows?
I have a report I am trying to sort. The problem is I have inserted rows in
between texted rows to kind of make it look better. Now I am trying to sort and it sorts all the texted rows together, without the inserted empty rows in between. I took an Excel class and the teacher showed us how to sort something like this. I don't remeber how to do this. Please help! |

This might be easier.....
If the only purpose of the blank rows is to provide space between records: Eliminate the blank rows and make the row heights larger. That will achieve the same effect and reduce the effort for navigating within the report. To eliminate all the blank rows: Select the first column of the report range Press the [F5] key....(that's the shortcut for <edit<go to) Click the [Special] button and Check: Blanks Click the [OK] button While all the blanks are still selected... <edit<delete<entire rows Sort your list Then..select the list range and change the row heights where appropriate. Is that something you can work with? *********** Regards, Ron XL2002, WinXP "Excel Challenged" wrote: I have a report I am trying to sort.
