Have a list of items, 285, 285-A, 36-B, 23-D, 36 and need to sort
Create a helper column with the following formula:
=SUBSTITUTE(A1,"-","") Then sort by this column. -- Regards, Dave "Challenged" wrote: Have a database and need to subtotal by a column that has no set number of characters, some with "-" and a letter after, some just whole numbers. I want to sort by the whole number and ignore the "-". Ideas? |
