how do I change cell references in a column

I have budget worksheets from 05-06. I would like to set up 06-07 without
having to type all the formulas again. For instance the formula in D6 is
Sept05!J3, cell D7 is Sept05!J4. How do I do a mass replacement of year 05 to
06? Please help.

Did you try 'edit'.....'replace' and find Sept05 and replace with sept06?

Assuming that there may be more months than just Sept involved, modify that
thought slightly, use Edit to Replace 05! with 06!

But I'm thinking that the Sept05 is the name of a worksheet in the workbook.
Why not do this: make a copy of that workbook. Open it up and just change
the name of the Sept05 sheet to Sept06. The formulas referring to Sept05
sheet in that copy of the workbook will automatically update themselves.
