How to setup a random matrix in Excel without repeating numbers?
I need to set up a random matrix in Excel but I don't want the numbers from
the first column to be identical to the corresponding number in the second column. Any ideas? (Aside from manually looking for duplicates) |

(Aside from manually looking for duplicates) Here's a sample which illustrates one way to set it up for a list of 12 unique items / numbers. The startpoint is simply to list the 12 items into a column range on a sheet. Then we could generate the random shuffle of the 12 items (ie wo repeats) into various configs elsewhere as desired into matrices/tables comprising, eg: 4Rx3C, 3Rx4C, 6Rx2C, 2Rx6C, etc http://www.savefile.com/files/7984226 Random Shuffling a col list of 12 Items in various configs elsewhere.xls -- Max Singapore http://savefile.com/projects/236895 xdemechanik --- |
