Jim,

From the way you worded your subject, I think the answer will depend on who
designed your spreadsheet. Excel is a blank slate. No "unit price" column,
unless someone has designated a column for such a number. They may have
worked it so that negative numbers aren't allowed. The same goes for units.
Perhaps it will allow negative values in "units", to give you negative
balances in inventory values. Best to check with the spreadsheet's author.
