I am looking for someone to build a two part project for a real estate valuation firm.

1. an application to facilitate the smooth movement of data from multiple data sheets to Word docs

2 a database to hold historical data

Templates for both the Excel files and Word docs need to be broad enough to allow customization depending on the content required in the Word doc.

Just a few...

Sounds to me more like you need a staff member with a competant level
of skill using MS Office apps!

Templates are typically 'structured' and so don't easily lend
themselves for much 'broad customization', per se, without breaking!

What role will Excel play? What role will Word play that you need
"smooth movement of data from multiple data sheets" for, that prohibits
this role from being done in Excel? (Assumes the 'data sheets' you
refer to are Excel worksheets)

If you need a database then why not use Access instead of Excel? (or
can the archived data simply be stored in .dat files?)

What kind of user interface do you want?

Where will the source data be coming from?
