I have experience with perl so I am familiar with regular expressions. But I'm confused about their use in Excel vba.

I see programmers using multiple ways to create objects, multiple and differing references on how to use them. I just need a little good info here.

Given Excel 2010..

1. Is the regular expression feature part of Excel or must you add something. (This workbook will be passed around an office - it's gotta work)

2. Where is the reference for regular expression use IN Excel.

3. And some examples using the above. Just one good one would do. I'll be capturing.
