Pivot table drill down sort
I've seen this question posted several times on boards without an
answer. How does excel determine sort order on the drill down of a pivot table? I have a pivot table using an ODBC source for data. The data is sorted the same way in the ODBC view and the query in Excel. However, the sort order changes to a date field in the drill down, and I don't know why. This is a problem as I'm tasked with getting a text field to show more than 255 characters. As this will be a file that will be distributed out to a number of people I don't want ot have to change the registry, so I'm trying to have the large field values appear in the first 8 rows so excel recognizes as a memo and not text field. Thanks in advance, wylie |
