What is a 'newsreader'?
How do I attach my file to my newsreader?

gcotterl expressed precisely :

A newsreader is how we communicate with a NG (news group). How are you
accessing this NG? The header on your post says your newsreader is
G2/1.0. What is that? Most mail apps also provide a component for
reading news from a news server. I'm accessing this NG via
news.eternal-september.org.

Did you read my post asking you to reply under the original post? Does
every post you make have to be a new one in whatever app you're using?

I posted my postings in the microsoft.public.excel.programming group
via Google Groups.

My original posting contained only my request for help.

I then deleted (removed) that posting and created a new one in which
my spreadsheet was imbedded but the columns didn't line up correctly
so I deleted that posting.

Then I created another new posting which contained only my original
request for help.

To what e-mail address do I e-mail my spreadsheet?

I've heard of that. How are you accessing (what app are you using?)
Google Groups?

Ah.., I see now why so many original posts. You should note that once a
post has been downloaded to a newsreader it can only be deleted there
in that newsreader.

My email is (minus the "DOT")
Make sure it shows an example of the expected results, and a full
explanation of what YOU mean by "prorate an amount across individual
amounts".
