Single key press date input
I searched the group but may have missed this as it seems like a
common task. I would like to enter the current date into a cell with just a single key press.the cell, column actually, is formated for date and pressing D would enter todays date.Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. SteveC |

SteveC You could look in online help for keyboard shortcuts if you want to use built-in ones. The key combo you need for entering current date is 'Ctrl+:'. -- Garry Free usenet access at http://www.eternal-september.org ClassicVB Users Regroup! comp.lang.basic.visual.misc |

Single key press date input
Not possible with one keystroke.
Excel does not know what has been entered in a cell until you signify you are done with that cell by moving out of that cell using enter key or arrow key or Tab key. CTRL + ;(semi-colon) enters a static date. Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP.
