Updating the 'comment' file attribute
I am currently running Excel 2003 (about to upgrade to 2010) in
Windows XP (Home 2002 sp3). Here is what I would like to do: I have a folder of data files (historical stock market data in CSV's). As I write/update these files, I would like to modify the file attribute 'comments' to have the value of the most recent 'Market Date' so that I can sort them by 'comments' when in Windows Explorer. I know how to retrieve the attribute(s) into a spreadsheet (thank you John Walkenbach), but can not find anything on here on how to update the 'comment' file attribute. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. |

I don't have 2003 any more so can't check the help ... look for the Workbook.BuiltinDocumentProperties Property That's where you'll find the comments attribute.
