Solver reference

Set up a macro which is using solver but am unable to add the reference.
When browsing I find the *.ddl file for solver but get an error messege
when I want to open the dll file.

"! Cant add a reference to the specified file."

According to the help I am trying to add a library file which can not
be used/read by VB?

Find the file uder program files/ MS office / Office 11 / Add ins /
Library / Solve

Does anybody have any idea why I am unable to add the library?

Solver reference

Hi,

Windows7, Excel 2007
The path of the solver file reference is :
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office12\Library\SOLVER\SOLVER.XLAM

The file you are looking for is : Solver.xla or solver.xlam, not a .dll file.
In the browser, you have to change the type of file of the list
and then, you add the .xla or .xlam file

I know. at then bottom of this window, There is a combobox
showing "file types", you have to change this value by default by
"Microsoft office Excel Files (*.xls, *.xla) and then you will see
the required file SOLVER.XLA you need to charge in your
..xla folder.
