Excel 2003 AddIn in 2007

I've been reading some posts about ribbons and add-ins, but I'm left
with one question: if I have an add-in that someone has written for
Excel 2003 that creates a menu option, what happens if I load it in
Excel 2007? Is that menu option visible anywhere? The maintainer of
this AddIn does not have Excel 2007.

Excel 2003 AddIn in 2007

Any commandbar controls or menu items will appear on the Add-Ins tab
of the Ribbon, all mixed together.
