Default PLease Help!

I have created a database which I would like to licence. Is it possible to
set up a licence for using an excel database on a yearly basis? If yes, can
you please let me know how this can be done?

Many thanks

This is not an Excel question; it is a legal question.
In the past I have subscribed to a service which sent me a CD each year with
a database which I could search.
You will need the other parties to sign a contract with a non-disclosure
agreement so they do not give away your product or the data in it.
best wishes

Bernard

I think you have misunderstood me. What I want to do is to allow a user to
use the database for one year based on a password; then once payment has been
made, is to send them another password to allow them to continue to use the
database. How can I do this in Excel?

Thank you,

Dear 'Ra'

I have seen your post twice. Excel is not the tool to secure data. No matter
how tight you set the security it is pretty simple to break. Password crack
codes are available in the internet..

Hope that helps.

Jacob.

Thanks for the information. All I want is to be able to stop the database
to be used once one year is over and to have the option to restart it.

Thanks,

Even if you are able to implement something of that sort; after one year
anyone (with help of crack codes) can easily break in.
