Lock lines together to creat pivot table?

I have a data sheet that I would like to creat a pivot table off of. My
problem is line 2, 3, 4, and 5 I would like to keep together and 6, 7, 8 and
9 should display togther, and so on.... I am not a pivot table queen so just
wonder if there's someone out there that know's how to do this or if it can
be done..

Hi Kam,
I assume you have a reason for grouping in that way, maybe a cost center or
department so what you can do is add a column to your information let's say
"Departments" and then assign a department to each line. When doing the Pivot
table you select the departments then you are able to expand the department
you want or have just the summary

Lock lines together to creat pivot table?

I am working with a spread sheet that someone else made, it's over 90,000
lines and for some reason they didn't use the columns going across (probable
for printing purpose) instead they used 5 lines (going down) to inter their
information. So say line 1 column "a" is serical numbers for an irrigation
engine, column "b" is customer name then on line 2 column "a" is permit
number and column "b" is street address. So one engine is taking up 5 lines,
those 5 lines I want to "stick" together when doing a pivot table. Is this
impossible to work with?

Hi Kam,
How you describe yes is imposible to work with, the only solution will be to
put that 5 lines in one in different columns and the concatenate all the
columns. to do that highlight the 5 lines, copy, then in the same place do
paste special, transpose, that will put all the text in 5 different columns,
then use concatenate to join all the columns. Hope this help
